遍及全国各地的温州商会发展迅猛，成为中国社会现代化进程中的一个政府与市场之间的第三方力量。目前，共有全国175万温州人在全国各地经商办企业，建起了40多万个销售网点，构筑了庞大的市场网络，推销了上千亿元的温州产品。他们的足迹遍及大陆32个省、市自治区。第一个异地温州商会--昆明温州商会建立于1995年8月，现全国正式建立温州商会的地级以上的城市已达146家，另有6 个城市建立了筹委会，共有 8 万多会员入会。
　　 走南闯北的温州人，把温州经济与全国经济乃至全球经济联系在一起，这成为我国一个独特的经济现象，它不仅促进了温州区域经济的发展，而且对全国经济发展作出了温州人的贡献。

Extensively expanding, Wenzhou Chambers of Commerce throughout China have become the third force between the government and the market in the modernization of China. At present, 1.75 million Wenzhou natives who are doing business and running enterprises in all parts of the country have constructed a large market network with more than 400,000 sales agencies, selling Wenzhou products with a total value up to 100 million yuan. They have been to 32 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in the mainland. Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce in Kunming, the first Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce in an alien land, was founded in August, 1995. Now Wenzhou Chambers of Commerce have been officially founded in 146 cities and the preparatory committees set up in another 6 cities, with more than 80,000 members.
Traveling the length and breadth of the country, Wenzhou natives have linked Wenzhou’s economy with the national and even the global economy, which constitutes a unique phenomenon in the country, not only promoting the development of Wenzhou regional economy, but also contributing to the development of the national economy.
